Claudia grew up in Duncan before moving to Vancouver (UBC) to begin her BPE degree. She started Atlantis Programs Swim School in 1986 and added Pedalheads® Bike Camps in 1995. Claudia is well known in the community and was a finalist for the YWCA Women of Distinction awards. In 2013 she received the Corporate Good Neighbour Award from the Association of Neighbourhood Houses and was listed on the Chatelaine/Profit W 100. Her biggest business reward is watching past kids come back to be Instructors, Supervisors and even Managers!
Connie completed her BA in Psychology from SFU and joined Atlantis Programs and Pedalheads® in 2008. Although transitioning into an accounting role, she helps ensure that the programs are running smoothly. She is an outcast in the office because she strongly believes that shopping is a form of exercise. Thankfully, she does enjoy playing volleyball and going to the gym to stay fit.
Mike grew up in Victoria and moved to Vancouver in 2010. He graduated in 2007 with a commerce degree from the University of Victoria. Mike joined Atlantis Programs and Pedalheads® in late 2013 and is your go to guy for everything marketing related. He also likes to take advantage of the beautiful Westcoast by playing Ultimate Frisbee, tennis and hitting the local slopes. Mike is also a big Vancouver Canucks fan and is happy to talk hockey with anyone willing to listen to him.
Ben grew up in Vancouver and has been with Atlantis Programs and Pedalheads® for 15 years. Ben started as a volunteer with Pedalheads® in 1999 and has been with them ever since, later becoming a Regional Manager in Alberta, Ontario and now Washington. He attended UVIC where he graduated with a BA and BEd in 2012. It was through Pedalheads® that Ben gained his passion for teaching and coaching kids, leading to his degree in elementary education. Ben is a huge advocate of exercise, food, and fun!
Ben joined the Atlantis and Pedalheads® team in 2010, when we opened camps in Toronto. He worked as a Camp Supervisor for 2 summers before taking over as the Ontario Manager in 2012. A native of the UK, Ben graduated university with a BA in Tourism Studies, which spawned his great passion for travel and adventure. Before joining Pedalheads®, Ben spent several summers working as a sports coach/camp counselor in the UK & USA.
Sydney grew up in Montreal and graduated from McGill University in 2007. Her interest for travel and adventure led her to live and work in South Africa before settling down in Toronto. Sydney loves being outdoors and is extremely passionate about snow and water sports, which led to her teaching kids how to waterski and wakeboard at a summer camp in Vermont. She feels that there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the smile and excitement on a child's face when they learn to do something new.
Adrian grew up in Mississauga, Ontario and has been teaching swimming and managing pools for a decade. He has a B.Sc in Psychology from the University of Toronto and trains all of the Atlantis Swim instructors. He has been with Atlantis Programs and Pedalheads® since 2012 and has loved every moment of it! You will frequently see him at both the Point Grey and Burnaby pools, so come say hello!
Samson grew up in Richmond, BC and has been working with Atlantis since 2011. He is a qualified carpenter, but wanted to follow his passion for working with kids. He likes basketball, cars, photography and anything to do with Star Wars! With black spiky hair, you can often spot him at any of our three pools.
Nick grew up in Vancouver and completed his post-secondary education at UVIC. He has been with the Atlantis Programs and Pedalheads® team since 2003 and now is the focal point for all things related to the community and media. He started off as an instructor at the Pedalheads® location in Jericho and moved onto the Vancouver Centre location where he went onto become Supervisor. In his off time, Nick enjoys playing hockey and squash as well jamming to rock n' roll tunes on his guitar. Nick is also a firm believer in fun!
Sarah grew up in Calgary and completed her Bachelor of Education at the UofC in 2011. She joined the Atlantis Programs and Pedalheads® team in 2009 and after working several years as a supervisor moved into the role of Alberta Manager in 2012. Sarah is an avid hiker, biker and soccer player who loves working with children and sharing her love of the outdoors.
Brittany grew up in the Seattle area, and graduated from Northwest University with a BA in Communications. There she played four years of competitive college basketball. Brittany joined the Pedalheads® team in 2014, and is excited to combine her love for kids with her experience in marketing. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, doing zumba, reading, and traveling.
Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Andie emigrated to Vancouver "just for a year" in 2012. A trained journalist, she also has a Masters in business from Dublin City University and is currently studying graphic design at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. When she’s not at Pedalheads, Andie freelances as a graphic designer for non-profit organizations and small businesses. She also mentors homeless LGBT youth, walks rescue dogs at the SPCA and enjoys exploring beautiful BC. Most importantly, she has an encyclopaedic knowledge of obscure X Files trivia.
Kelly lives in beautiful Victoria, B.C. and is currently working on her B.Sc. in Biology and Psychology at the University of Victoria. Kelly joined the Atlantis Programs and Pedalheads® team in 2011 and began her journey as an instructor before moving on to supervising and now becoming the Victoria Manager. Her love of fitness and passion for working with children makes Pedalheads® the perfect fit.
Gabby is based in Seattle, where she manages our Washington promotions. She grew up in Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Communications. Gabby knew marketing was the career for her when she realized that not a lot of people shared her childlike enthusiasm for analyzing ads. Pedalheads lured her away from the corporate cubicles she usually dwells in by offering the opportunity to work with kids and the community again. She is amazed by sunsets, easily humored by puns, and can often be found on a plane traveling abroad.
Samantha is our special projects guru, working full time she brings an infectious smile and positive energy to the office. Music, great food, event planning, and office theme days are some of her favourite things. Samantha hopes to one day enter into the field of midwifery and be a part of the miracle of birth.
Kelsey started out as an instructor for Pedalheads® in 2012 and worked as a Supervisor in BC and is excited to continue working as part of the main office team! Kelsey completed her BA in Psychology with a Minor in Business at the Universtiy of Victoria. When she's not at work you can find her exploring the West Coast or baking delicious treats!
Bun “Cupboard King” Cheung has become a legend at Atlantis Programs and Pedalheads since his arrival in early 2014. With a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Langara, Bun is poised to become the Warren Buffett of East Side Vancouver. Bun is often found wearing a superhero t-shirt or hat, and while he’s a big fan of the Marvel Universe, his favourite Superhero is the Incredible Nick Pavlakis.
